Review: I went into this movie confident that it would be cheesy, campy mess with a tried and true tricks of the same trade, like the heroes explore the creepy music coming from the basement and a cat jumps into frame, but I quickly discovered that it would not be harmful to the letter . After watching the move and obsessing on it for about 12 hours now, I can honestly say that one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. In fact, there are several points during the film where I screamed like a girl 13 years at Justin Beiber concert. Note that I am aware of trying hard to remain calm, especially because I was sitting next to my girlfriend just two months. It is, incidentally, not a peep, fortunately, I later discovered that his eyes were closed the whole time. I also expect to see blood and guts, especially coming from people who drink, but not a drop. Instead, they use other things in their arsenal to scare the bejesus out of me and everyone in the theater (my girlfriend included). From literally welcome points, has created an intense, eerie tension that does not leave his body for some whiskey and half a Xanax later. And the movie constantly feeds that tension, as an earthly family life characters somehow seem really scary. I'm really tired to leave the theater with all the uncomfortable squirming I can control. Id say the most calories I've ever burned while watching a movie (well, at least a PG-13 movie). All in all, great movie. It was crazy scary, thoroughly entertaining, and even funny at times surprising. Therefore, it will be some time before I watch another horror movie, I have no desire to turn into a bundle of nerves frazzled again in the near future. So if you are planning to see this movie, please consider this a reminder warning: probably best to go with someone who already testified you have the physical and mental disorders are complete, to avoid unpleasant trip home. And maybe bring a Xanax as well.
