Review: I borrowed this movie on DVD, but I wish I had seen at the theater because it was much more fun and powerful there. However, Gladiator is one of the most powerful and moving films I have ever seen. The plot is so smooth musical score, and the action and fantastic. Director Ridley Scott put all efforts to make this epic film, and it is here for. To say that someone who likes Ridley Scott (course I) should see this. It looks like turtles films (Black Hawk Down was also great). If you can stand a little - well, ok a lot of blood and gore, then you see it. Russell Crowe shows excellent performance like no other. I do not think theres a bad movie that Ridley Scott Russell Crowe made or acted in. The fact that the brutal battles involving innocent slaves in the film actually happened in real life is cen, Articles, it is even more interesting and strong. Emperor Commodus is truly evil villain and life like that shows a lot of spirit in his attempts to get his revenge against Maximus.Ridley Scott went to many different places to shoot this film makes it real, and not. The film is set in Rome, and it just seems like it. How would you feel if you are in the crowd to hear them cheer and encourage see death. For some of you this may seem a bit barbaric, and believe me the film is very barbaric and brutual, but teaches a powerful lesson in what happens when the economy turns as violent as Rome. Ridley Scott goes to great efforts to make this actual movie, because even though the characters are fictional, it all really happened. Innocent people had to go through brutual fighting while thousands of people cheered or death or death enemys. If you have experienced hunter, chances are you killed. But the strange thing is that Rome loved it. People came from everywhere to see these fights and see the blood that was shed, so you can not blame the characters in this film to be so sad and missing all the time. The film itself is very dark.
